Panning for Gold & Gems Kits
This activity has proven a really popular and successful activity for school fairs.
Each "Gold Prospector" keeps 8-12 gems or gold chunks in a pouch for say £1 a go (or whatever you decide).
Fun and something to take away. Its great value and kids love it.
Gemstones Panning Kit:
Small £20 (50 goes so raising £50) - 200g gemstones, 2 sieves, 50 collecting pouches
Large £35 (100 goes so raising £100).- 400g gemstones, 4 sieves, 100 collecting pouches
Gold Panning Kit:
Small £25 (50 goes so raising £50) - 250g fool's gold, 2 sieves, 50 collecting pouches
Large £45 (100 goes so raising £100) - 500g fool's gold, 4 sieves, 100 collecting pouches
You just need a suitable water trough or sand tray with water and some sand.

These durable metal panning sieves are ideal for Gold or gemstone panning.
They contain holes which let the sand and water pass through but catches the small chunks of fools gold or gemstones.
Note the price is for a single sieve.

Gold panning chunks
If you are running a Panning for Gold stall at your fair then you will need these shiny fool's gold chunks for your gold prospecting customers.
The chunks range in size from 2-5 mm so they do not go through the holes in the sieve.
Chunks of gold come in 250g or 500g bags.
Small tumbled gemstones suitable for panning with sieves.
Can be used instead of the gold chunks.
The stones range from 3-5 mms so will not pass through the holes in the sieve.
Available in bags of 200 or 400 grams
Small Draw String Pouches (7 x 5 cm)
Small velveteen pouches with drawstrings.
Sold in Packs of 50 or 20
Various colours: black, green, blue, purple, brown.
